Thanks to the fact that my late Grandpa had wonderful taste, I am now wearing his ~1974 Pulsar II LED digital watch.

This was one of the first digital watches ever made (the second in the series from Pulsar) and uses Light Emitting Diodes, instead of the liquid crystals that digital watches are made of now. To tell the time, you have to press the button on the right and it displays for about a second. This particular model was even featured in the beginning of a James Bond Movie (because it was so “futuristic” I’m certain)!

Lucky for me, Grandpa took great care of it, so once I had new batteries (and the required spacers to fit newer batteries) installed, the watch works perfectly!

Watching the Pats get pwned last night was 2nd only to watching the Colts win the Superbowl last season.  There is no substitute for the special kind of glee I feel watching the arrogant, dirty, and poor-sportsmen-like Pats and their win-at-all-costs coach Belichick with a look of disgust at the end of a game.  Belichick was so distraught he couldn’t even form sentences in the post-game interview (well, I guess he can’t form them usually anyway, so no news here).  He really does have the personality of a door-stop, and it is so fun to watch him lose.  I may watch it all again on Tivo next weekend just to relive the memories.

Its great to see the good guys win (again) this year!
